What is the best high-speed door for your industrial building?

Choosing the right high-speed doors is a key decision for the proper functioning of an industrial building. Far beyond simply closing off an entrance, doors have a direct impact on operational efficiency, safety, environmental control and energy savings. Each activity or sector requires different solutions, which is why it is essential to analyse the actual use of the space before making a decision.

At Ferroflex, we design and manufacture a wide range of industrial doors tailored to each project's specific needs. Below, we offer a practical guide to help you identify which type of door best suits your facilities' daily operations.

For sectorisation and isolation: rapid roll-up doors

When the main objective is to divide spaces, separate interior areas, maintain stable thermal conditions or ensure secure closure, high-speed roll-up doors are the best option.

Its lacquered aluminium structure makes it the ideal solution for internal enclosures without draughts. It is the most compact model, and it stands out for its ability to adapt to different environments, as well as offering a wide variety of customisation options.

They are particularly suitable for:

● Logistics centres

● Industrial facilities

● Spaces where temperature control and safety are priorities, such as clean rooms or cold storage areas.

Additionally, we also offer other models of high-speed roll-up doors, such as steel doors for ATEX zones, etc.

If you are looking for agility in entrances and exits: stackable rapid doors

In facilities with large openings and frequent traffic to the outside, speed and resistance are key. In these cases, stackable high-speed doors stand out for their ability to combine agility, robustness and resistance to draughts.

It is an ideal solution for ensuring airtightness and isolating different work areas. Its high operating speed helps to maintain an uninterrupted workflow and reduce energy losses.

Thanks to their vertical opening system and reinforced curtain bars, these doors are ideal for:

●    Large exterior access points

●    Areas with continuous vehicle entry and exit

●    High-activity logistics and industrial facilities

For heavy traffic and machinery movement: self-repairing doors

When there is constant traffic from forklifts, pallet trucks or machinery, self-repairing high-speed doors are the most efficient solution.

The rail system on the sides allows the door to repair itself in the event of impact. In the event of a collision, the curtain comes out of its rail guides and automatically repositions itself during the next manoeuvre, offering advantages such as:

●    Lower risk of breakdowns

●    Reduced downtime

●    Greater operational continuity

They are particularly recommended for indoor logistics areas, supermarkets, storage areas, car parks, and other similar locations.

Maximum safety in case of fire: fire doors

Fire doors are designed to compartmentalise and provide maximum safety for facilities and workers in the event of a fire. One of the most innovative models is the high-speed door with EI120 fire curtain, which features:

●    Two parallel curtains: one for operation as a rapid door and the other as a fire curtain.

●    In the event of a fire, the fire curtain lowers, separating the two spaces and preventing the spread of flames.

●    The high-speed door is self-repairing, i.e. in the event of an impact, the side rail mechanism is activated to prevent breakage.

Other models of fire doors include industrial sliding doors and industrial guillotine doors, both with EI/60, EI/90, and EI/120 certification and compliant with the UNE EN 1634-1 standard for fire resistance.
