Manusa automatic doors: five quality and safety certifications

Each access point has unique requirements: from healthcare environments that prioritize hygiene and airtightness, to spaces that may face fire risk or need to protect the integrity of their products. Each situation presents specific challenges related to safety, efficiency or durability. To address these challenges, automatic doors must offer verified guarantees. At Manusa, our solutions are certified through rigorous testing that validates their performance under very demanding conditions.

1. Class D air permeability

In healthcare facilities and laboratories, it is essential to maintain aseptic conditions and differential pressure to protect patients and professionals. Our hermetic automatic doors have been rigorously tested to ensure they meet the highest air permeability classification: class D according to UNE-EN 12207:2017 and class 4 according to UNE 85170:2016. These doors feature a perimeter seal, a Visio+ Hermetic operator, and materials designed for easy cleaning, which help to maintain controlled conditions and prevent the spread of infectious agents or contaminants.

2. EI fire resistance

For spaces where fire protection is essential, Manusa's EI fire-resistant automatic doors effectively compartmentalise areas in the event of an emergency. Manufactured with fire-resistant and intumescent materials, they help prevent the spread of fire and smoke, and can be connected to the building's alarm system to activate automatic closure. The EI classification for tightness and thermal insulation ensures that these doors can effectively prevent the passage of fire and heat transfer for a minimum period. For example, the EI 90 fire-rated hermetic door provides a resistance of at least 90 minutes on the operator side not exposed to flames. For all these reasons, these models comply with standards such as UNE-EN 1634-1 for fire resistance.

3. RC2 anti-theft protection

The RC2 automatic anti-theft door combines reinforced security and aesthetics for entrances requiring additional protection. Tested in accordance with UNE-EN 1627:2021, it has an RC2 rating for resistance to forced entry attempts. Its design includes anti-lever reinforcements that prevent the door leaves from being removed from the guides. Additionally, it incorporates P5A safety glass with an air chamber and P4A safety glass, which remain intact even if they shatter, acting as an effective barrier without compromising the entrance visibility or aesthetics.

4. Sustainability and Environmental Product Declaration

The Visio+ 100 and 125 family of operators features an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), which transparently and verifiably communicates the environmental impact throughout the entire product life cycle. This certification, in accordance with ISO 14025, enables responsible purchasing decisions and facilitates alignment with sustainable building certifications such as LEED and BREEAM, providing added value to architects, engineers and customers who are committed to sustainability.

5. Durability of five million cycles

The Visio+ 100 and 125 operators have undergone rigorous performance testing in accordance with the UNE-EN 16361:2014+A1:2017 standard, with a durability of five million cycles. This certification ensures a long service life, stable performance even in challenging environments, and reduced maintenance costs.

These five guarantees reflect our commitment to safety, reliability and sustainability at every access point. If you are looking for automatic doors that meet certain quality and safety standards, please contact us, and we will assist you in selecting the most suitable solution.
