Different models of high-speed doors in Cosbar's cosmetics laboratories

Cosbar is a cosmetics manufacturer with laboratories located in El Prat de Llobregat, on the outskirts of Barcelona. Like many companies in this industry, the access areas within its facilities need to be compartmentalised and ensure hygiene in the spaces, without hindering the flow of people, materials and equipment, all in a safe manner. With this objective in mind, Ferroflex has installed various types of high-speed doors that meet the specific needs of each access point, reconciling traffic and operations while maintaining control between different areas.

Control and asepsis: high-speed door for laboratories and clean rooms

One of the key models installed at the Cosbar plant is the high-speed door for laboratories and clean rooms, designed specifically for this type of environment. The door's design and materials enable it to achieve class 5 air permeability in accordance with the UNE-EN H12426:2000 standard. This high level of airtightness, combined with its fast opening and closing speed, minimises air infiltration, maintains stable pressure differences between spaces and prevents cross-contamination – a key requirement in laboratory settings.

External insulation: stackable high-speed door

For external access to the laboratories, a stackable high-speed door has been installed. This door is a solution designed for intensive use, offering resistance to draughts and insulating the interior from external conditions. This model also adapts to large openings, facilitating the entry and exit of goods, even during periods of high activity.

Sectorisation: reinforced aluminium high-speed roll-up door

Several reinforced aluminium high-speed roll-up doors have been installed for the internal organisation of the Cosbar laboratories. These doors are designed to improve airtightness and offer a high-quality finish. Their anodised aluminium structure combines strength with an appealing aesthetic, reinforcing the areas.

Resilience: self-repairing high-speed door

Another model installed in laboratories is the self-repairing high-speed door, suitable for entrances with heavy goods traffic and relatively small spaces. This model minimises operational downtime in the event of accidental impacts, as its curtain comes out of the side guides after a collision and, thanks to a rail system, returns to its original configuration when rolled up. By avoiding the need for technical assistance, this model helps to reduce the costs associated with such incidents.

Customisation and accessories for greater safety

The project is completed with the addition of optional safety and control features, such as bollards to protect against trolley collisions, integrated push-button panels and photocells. Additionally, several doors form interlocking systems, in which one door does not open until the other has closed, enhancing this control. Furthermore, some doors have been customised with the installation of windows, some of which are large, allowing visibility through the curtain.
